Being Ignored
In the spirit of the Irish Spring posts (the First, Second, Third, and Fourth of them) I decided to mess around with the good people at PetSmart.com. Why? Well, just because. Here's what's gone down so far:
The Re: to "Your order has been shipped"
Where is my order. I tried to track it through your website. It says I don't have any orders, probably because I ordered through Amazon.com, but regardless, you have my money and my filters, so you know what you need to do next.
Waiting your response,
Tokyo Slim
The Reply:
We are sorry that your order has not yet arrived.
Your order is shipping to an APO/FPO address outside of the continental United States. Orders to these addresses are shipped via the United States Postal Service and typically take four to six weeks for delivery. If you do not receive your order by 12/18/2006 , please contact us and we will gladly assist you further.
Thank you for choosing PetSmart for the lifelong needs of your pet!
Sincerely,
Vanessa
And now,
Vanessa,
You work in customer service, not shipping so I know this isn't your fault. Please don't take offense at the rest of this email. It takes about two minutes, maybe three and a half if you work in the shipping department, to fill out a customs form. I've shipped packages from an APO to the States, and vice versa, and the packages arrived in under a week. It should never take more than a week, unless there's some kind of holiday in there.Nothing against you personally, Vanessa, but I will never purchase anything from your company again. If they're going to sell via Amazon Market Place, they should advertise the fact that their shipping department can't wrap their feeble minds around how to mail a box.
In fact, you should hate those jerks in shipping also, as they probably make a lot of work for you. If you go to the PetSmart Christmas party this year, don't talk to them. Get your friends to do the same. Hate them with me, Vanessa. Of course they might not even get invited, in which case, you'll have a better time. Let me know how that goes, either way.
Anyways, I'm very disappointed at how much your company blows. Yes, blows. But don't let it get you down; just start looking for another company to work for, after the Christmas Party, because your company blows.
Good luck and Merry Christmas,
Tokyo Slim
P.S. PetSmart.com blows.
If Vanessa replies, I'll definitely let you know.
Power to the consumer (with time on his hands)!
