Not April Fool's
So there's this part of my brain, we'll call him Sven, and he fires off (again) today with "Hey Slim, go look for snow". Then, that other part of my brain, we'll call him Steve, decides to argue with him. Steve's all like, "Hey Slim, there ain't no snow. This is one of them wussy winters" And Sven's all, "Yeah there is, you just gotta go a ways" and Steve's all, "whatever."
Anyways, here's what me and Sven came up with:
Tokyo Slim, in self portrait mode, with some snow in the background, but how much could there be?
Well, to help judge it all, here's one of the machines we met on the road. It carves its way through the roads. Yeah, peoples, this is Hakkoda Mountain. It was raining with not a speck of snow on the ground at my house this morning. Up here, the shit's deep.
Here's the Slim-Mobile. I pulled'er over and snapped a few hunderd pics.
Mrs. Slim and the Slimlings get to 3rd base with the wall of ice.
Mrs. Slim grabs a photo of me next to the tree-tops above someone's car. With 9 years in Minnesota and 9 years in upstate NY, this was the most snow I've ever seen, hands down.
There's the Slim-Mobile, a la Matchbox. Yeah, those are pine tree tops poking through the snow. Is that cool or what?
If this was a mild winter, they may want to think about raising some of the road signs for next year.
This is a river we crossed on the way up, I made sure I got a pic on the way back down. I think it turned out pretty good.
Same spot, zoomed in on some snow covered branches that hung over the river.
And here's the Tokyo Slim Seal of Approval. A much better way to leave your mark than yellow snow.

Outstanding pictures, our winter is over, I broke out the motorcycle here in MT.

Seems like the winter just started, but then again I had that break in the Okinawa. Do you have any big motorcycle trips planned for this summer?
If I had a motorcycle, I'd get a sidecar and a huge Orangutan to ride in it. Maybe call him Skip, and teach him to chug beer and eat cigars. Yeah, that'd be sweet. Maybe that's why my wife won't let me get one, you know, to save Skip's dignity. I'm sure of it.
yellow snow is sooo decorative though...glad you had fun...ms. lilly loves the weather here so far...nice and warm with rain every now and then...
