Momiji Mountain
We drove to Hirosaki yesterday and got let down by the "Castle" but more on that some other day. We came home a different way to see what all the fuss was about at Momiji Mountain. Momiji means maple tree in Japanese, and it's the star of autumn. Red, orange, gold, and the tougher leaves still cling to their bright greens to give you a spectacular view. Fall is my favorite season, hands down. The mosquitos are gone, its not unbearably hot and humid anymore, the fruits and veggies are all ready to eat, and the fall colors are just beautiful. So here's some pics from Momiji Mountain. These were only cropped in Photo Shop, not touched up or enhanced at all. Click to enlarge.

Here's my favorite shot. Throwin' it all out at the beginning.

A happy couple come back from the temple.

A shot from under the Tori Gate in the last picture.

From outside the bridge gate

Mountain water meets up with the river under the maple trees.

wow cool pics, fall in Italy is not that flashy the leaves just fall off. one day they are on the trees and green the next they are on the ground and brown. laters BAX
Well thats kind of a let-down, Bax. Just one more reason why you need to come see me here. Maybe your girl will hook you up with some tickets!
THose are some great shots. I didn't get to go up the mountain, but some of the scenery was nice from Hirosaki.
Thanks, Pe-to-san. With the long exposure time, the wind made the leaves blur. The colors of the leaves make it all happen.
