A Meal in Mutsu
We did some exploring around Osore Mountain again and on the way back, we decided to stop for dinner. Wakana is the name and Tonkatsu is their game. Tonkatsu is a breaded and fried pork cutlet. It is always breaded with Panko, the world famous Japanese bread crumb.

On two seperate explorations, we passed by this Tonkatsu restaurant in the city of Mutsu, on Route 279. All three times we passed it, I noticed the brown spikey ball thing. On the fourth pass, we stopped.

It sits next to a canal and provides a nice, relaxing view while you eat. They open at 5pm, so the view doesn't last long.

You can enjoy a delicious draft while waiting for your food to come.

Being one of my top five favorite meals, I've eaten a crap-ton of tonkatsu around Japan as well as in Korea. This restaurant has The Best Tonkatsu I have ever had, and that is no exaggeration. Absolutely the best. The pork filet just melts in your mouth.

Before the food came out, the kids got to pick a toy from the toy basket; part of the kids meal.

The kids' meal had tonkatsu and fried prawns too. Lucky punks...
