The Grill Count Upped

Ok, so Tokyo Slim ups the number of grills again. My reasoning: I need a charcoal grill dedicated to seafood. My wife quietly allows it. Tee-hee!!
After using it the 2nd time, I realized if I cook anything but fish, it will taste and smell like fish. So, I bought another charcoal grill, this time an American one. Cheap, $14.95. There'll be some pics of it soon, as I'm gonna do kalbi ribs on it tomorrow. This 2nd grill I bought without permission, but justified it well with the unknown delivery of my other grills. I sweetened the deal with a promise of ribeye steaks marinated in Balsamic Vinegar and ground Thyme. I know what my lady likes, Teehee!
Anyway, here's the new grill and the fish I cooked. Click to enlarge!

Here's the new Japanese Grill, on her first cookout. So new, so shiny, and chunk charcoal to cook on. I set up shop on the sidewalk outside, as far from the house as I could get; gonna get stinky grillin up some fish!

My favorite fish in Japan, the Hokke. I think its called an Arabesque Greenling in english. It freaking rocks. This guy cost me about $1.38. He's fresh; caught on the 27th, grilled on the 27th. He's split down the back, easy to cook.

These guys are called Sanma, or Pacific Saury. They are very greasy, but delicious. I bought these guys gutted and be-headed. The first ones I had to clean myself. I left the heads on. They grilled up great.

Here's a pic of the Sanma on the Japanese grill. I had to cram a beer can under the grill to raise them away from the fire. That chunk charcoal burns a bit on the hot side, same as American chunk coal. The briquets don't burn as hot.
When our stuff gets here from Montana, we'll have 5 different grills and a outdoor deep-fryer. Excessive, I know, but the 2 new ones are small portable jobbies that we can take with us to parks and rivers and cook what we catch on the coast. I also look at it this way: I take pictures of what I grill, on a regular basis, as you may already know. They won't go to waste and it sure beats washing a pan!!!
