Some Reviews

Last summer I realized my beat up old sneakers were gonna be the death of me on rocky mountains, so I decided to keep my eyes open for a hiking shoe. I spotted a pair from a vendor in a train station for 10,000 Won, or roughly 10 bucks. Cheap-ass, aka "me", took the bait. After a few months of normal street walking, like to the post office and back, they started to tear up. Then I annihilated them on the Daedunsan and Chikso hikes. I was back in the market for a hiking shoe. It was off to trusty E-Mart! I found a decent pair for 52,000 won, around 50 beans, and headed out to Moaksan Mountain.

They held up nicely, and I'm sure I'll get quite a few mountains out of them, both here and in Japan. They get the Tokyo Slim Seal of Approval.

They've got "Hyper Grip", as you can see.

What didn't hold up was my tripod bag. This Maylasian sweat-shop gem came with the tripod. It broke on the way back down Moaksan Mountain.
