Mokpo

So, back in November Me, Matt and Baxter hopped the KTX bullet train for Mokpo. It was nice down there; warm weather, warm people, and an easy hike up Mount Yudal. I would definitely like to return to Mokpo someday. We had to cut our trip short beacause, for some strange reason, the ATM's weren't accepting foreign cards. Anyway, here's some pics from that trip. As always, click on the pic to enlarge.
The Bullet Train Ticket, from Iksan to Mokpo. The KTX rocks!

My breakfast from a chain of bakeries here in Korea called Paris Baguette. You gotta eat these buggers ass-first, so you get the chocolate in the last bite!

A Korean Squirrel. These guys have the big punk rock ears.

The bell at Nochokbong (Grain Peak)

Two kids playing on the 400+ year monument. Damn hooligans.

Baxter saves the day, Matt looks on with approval.

The ticket for Mt. Yudal. A good hike.

Cool statue

The cool statue looks over Mokpo

Some lady watches me as I take a picture of my compass in front of the maritime compass design on the floor. She thought I was going to do a trick or something, so she stood there staring at me. Boy was she let down!

Almost the top

When we got back to Iksan, we walked through the market before heading back to Kunsan. This shop was full of, what looked like, older women's clothing. For a mere 5000 Won, you could get this lovely shirt.
Yes, exactly who the fuck is B&G?
Thinking back, I wish I would have dug through the rack; I'm sure there were a few more gems like this one. Sometimes, illiteracy is funny as hell!
